Fancy writing a play in six weeks? Perhaps you are an actor who would like to create their own show. Or simply someone with a passion for theatre, who would like to discover the craft that lies behind the dramatic text. This course will give you the tools to do all of these things, and the space to play with your ideas in a friendly and supportive setting. I'm a playwright from London now living in Berlin. Productions of my work have taken place in both UK and Germany, and my plays are published by Methuen Drama. Now I want to share my skills and experience with you. The course takes place in English and consists of: studying and playing with scenes from existing plays by british playwrights; analysing various aspects of their craft such as dialogue, form and structure; giving participants the opportunity to come up with their own short dramatic texts, before sharing them with the group and receiving support for their further development. The course will culminate in an evening of readings of participants' work, by actors from the Theaterkurs. Möchten Sie in sechs Wochen ein Theaterstück schreiben? Vielleicht sind Sie Schauspieler und möchten Ihre eigene Show kreieren. Oder einfach jemand mit einer Leidenschaft für das Theater, der das Handwerk hinter dem dramatischen Text entdecken möchte. Dieser Kurs gibt Ihnen die Werkzeuge an die Hand, um all diese Dinge zu tun, und den Raum, um in einer freundlichen und unterstützenden Umgebung mit Ihren Ideen zu spielen. Ich bin Dramatiker aus London und lebe derzeit in Berlin. Meine Werke wurden sowohl in Großbritannien als auch in Deutschland aufgeführt und werden von Methuen Drama Verlag veröffentlicht. Nun möchte ich meine Fähigkeiten und Erfahrungen mit euch teilen. Der Kurs findet in englischer Sprache statt und besteht aus dem Studium und dem Spielen von Szenen aus bestehenden Stücken britischer Dramatiker, der Analyse verschiedener Aspekte ihres Handwerks wie Dialog, Form und Struktur und der Möglichkeit für die Teilnehmer, eigene kurze dramatische Texte zu verfassen, bevor sie diese mit der Gruppe teilen und Unterstützung für ihre weitere Entwicklung erhalten. Der Kurs gipfelt in einem Abend mit Lesungen der Werke der Teilnehmer durch Schauspieler des Theaterkurses.
