Did you ever wanted to learn using Ableton, but maybe you never quite knew where to start? Then this course is for you. Ableton is one of the most praised digital audio workstations (DAW) and an important tool for creating music or sound effects, both at work or during free time for artistic self-expression. In this course, we want to learn the basics of electronic music production in Ableton (e.g. House, Techno, DnB, ...) and embark on a guided tour that will cover most of the important features. With this in hand, you can literally get started right away: We will practice the things through learning by doing, and each participant will start producing their first tracks during the course with the possibility of asking questions. Some of the topics: Designing Drum-, Vocal- and Synth-Patterns, Important Hotkeys, Making Arrangements - Basics in Synthesis, Basics in Sound-Design, Effects: Reverb, Delay, EQ, and more - Using VST Plugins - Tips for song arrangement, tips for more creativity, tips on releasing music Requirements: Mandatory: Laptop with Ableton Live Suite installed (Trial or Full version, please Live Suite, no lower version!) Over-Ear Headphones (e.g. Sennheiser HD-25) Optional: Get a cheap MIDI controller (e.g. Akai MPK Mini MK3) BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) Dieser Kurs gilt gemäß § 10 Abs. 5 des Berliner Bildungszeitgesetzes - BiZeitG (GVBl. vom 05.07.2021 S. 849) als Bildungsveranstaltung im Sinne der beruflichen Weiterbildung anerkannt. Diese Anerkennung gilt nur für Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer gemäß § 1 Abs. 1 des oben genannten Gesetzes, die bei einem Arbeitgeber im Bundesland Berlin beschäftigt sind.
